Wednesday, October 7, 2020

Principal Nicole Rodriguez Van Dyk and associate Jimmy Threatt co-authored the article, “Strategic Compliance: The Benefit of a Results-Oriented Approach to Corporate Compliance Programs,” featured in Corporate LiveWire’s Fraud & White Collar Crime 2020 Expert Guide. The article provides an analysis of the updated guidance from the Criminal Division of the Department of Justice (DOJ) in relation to tailoring compliance programs for more efficient results, emphasizing function over form when implementing such programs for healthcare providers.

Van Dyk and Threatt explain, “The importance of implementing effective compliance programs is not merely theoretical. In a criminal investigation, meeting the DOJ’s revised criteria may mean the difference between an indictment and a pass.”
