Partner Christopher Jumin Lee will be speaking at the Korean Commercial Arbitration Board (KCAB)’s Seoul ADR Festival on October 29th to discuss the process of dispute resolution from global perspectives.
The panel, “Local Rules, Global Disputes: Depositions and Privilege in International Arbitration,” brings together practitioners from Korea, the United States, China, and other jurisdictions to examine how domestic law and litigation procedure shape the practice of international arbitration.
Joined by Yulchon’s Julie Kim, Zhong Lun’s Tessa Wang, and moderator Sarah Lee from Debevoise & Plimpton, Mr. Lee will explore how attorney-client privilege regimes in China and Korea, including Korea’s recently amended privilege rules, differ from those in common law jurisdictions, and what risks and strategic considerations those differences create during document disclosure in international arbitration.
