Asian Americans Advancing Justice – Southern California honored Bird Marella Managing Partner Paul Chan with its Advancing Justice Legend Award at its 42nd Anniversary Gala.
Mr. Chan has been a longtime supporter of AJSOCAL, serving on its Board of Directors since 2009 and as the Chair of the Board from 2020-2024. While in this role, he was featured in “LA This Week,” Channel 35’s Emmy award-winning television program, to discuss the alarming rise of anti-Asian discrimination and harassment during the COVID-19 pandemic. He remains dedicated to promoting the organization’s efforts and advocating for AJSOCAL as a comprehensive community resource.
Mr. Chan, previously honored as an “Outstanding Leader” by LA Times B2B Publishing and recipient of the Trailblazer Award from the Southern California Chinese Lawyers Association (SCCLA), is a distinguished trial attorney, and is recognized in Chambers USA under the Litigation: General Commercial category.
