Bird Marella is pleased to announce that Cameron Partovi and Darren Patrick have been elevated to counsel, effective January 1, 2026.
Mr. Partovi represents clients in a wide variety of complex litigation matters and is well-versed in false advertising actions, law firm defense, and class action lawsuits involving data privacy, false advertising, and breach of contract. He most recently won a breach of fiduciary duty and breach of contract case on behalf of three private equity firms and other individuals named as defendants after a three-week trial. Mr. Partovi and the Bird Marella team successfully ended four years of litigation and avoided $60 million in damages for their clients.
Mr. Patrick has litigated complex commercial disputes in a broad range of fields, including venture capital, banking, entertainment, real estate, retail, technology, and manufacturing. He has also defended individuals in finance, retail, and marketing accused of business crimes in pre- and post-indictment proceedings. In 2025, Mr. Patrick won a preliminary injunction against a major mortgage issuer in a false advertising case brought by an industry competitor and prevailed in a bench trial in the Southern District of New York on behalf of a logistics company serving apparel and home furnishings retailers nationwide.
Regarding Mr. Partovi and Mr. Patrick’s elevations to counsel and Miri Gold’s elevation to partner, managing partner Paul Chan shares, “We are very proud of this talented group of attorneys, whose varied skills and practice areas are key to Bird Marella’s ongoing growth and success. We are excited to see their continued contributions to the firm in the years ahead.”
