Sophie is an associate at Bird Marella who joined the firm in 2023.
Prior to joining Bird Marella, Sophie clerked for the Honorable Sidney R. Thomas of the U.S. Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit in Billings, Montana and externed for the Honorable Kim McLane Wardlaw of the U.S. Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit in Pasadena, California. Sophie also interned at the ACLU of Southern California.
Sophie received her J.D. from the UCLA School of Law and her B.A. from Vassar College. While in law school, she was the Articles Editor for the UCLA Journal of Gender and Law and was a member of the Law Students for Immigrant Justice (LSIJ).
