Jungyoon (June) Rhee  

Jungyoon (June) Rhee is a Seoul-based, U.S.-licensed Attorney with Bird Marella, having joined the team in 2023. She specializes in cross-border business matters, M&A transactions, and internal investigations and audits. A Korean native, Jungyoon’s Korean law expertise fortifies Bird Marella’s already well-established Korea Practice Group. 

Jungyoon has assisted clients in domestic and international multi-million dollar matters that span the globe, including the U.S., Korea, India, the U.K., Indonesia, and Germany. Her knowledge of cross-border M&A transactions and her deep understanding of Korean and U.S. corporate law provide unique expertise to clients in both the U.S. and Korea.  

As Bird Marella’s first Seoul-based attorney, Jungyoon’s practice primarily focuses on matters involving Korea, where she can leverage her native-level fluency in Korean and understanding of the social and corporate culture and practices.

She previously was a Senior Associate at Yulchon, a full-service international corporate law firm in Seoul, and In-House Counsel for Samsung Life Insurance, also in Seoul. 

Jungyoon received her Juris Doctor from The George Washington University Law School in 2017 and her B.A. from Cornell University in 2012.

She is fluent in Korean and English.
