Heejin H. Hwang is an associate at Bird Marella. She focuses her practice primarily on complex civil litigation.
Heejin has represented clients in trial, appellate, and bankruptcy court proceedings, as well as in government investigations and before administrative agencies. She has litigated a wide range of matters, including copyright infringement, anti-SLAPP, whistleblower retaliation, breach of contract, environmental, and civil rights actions.
Prior to joining Bird Marella, Heejin was an associate at Greenberg Gross, an elite boutique trial law firm, and a staff attorney with Lone Star Legal Aid’s Environmental Justice Team in Houston, Texas. Heejin clerked for the Honorable Jesus G. Bernal of the United States District Court for the Central District of California.
Heejin received her J.D. from the UCLA School of Law, where she specialized in Critical Race Studies and was the Chief Articles Editor for the UCLA Law Review. She received her B.A. from Harvard College.
