Richard J. Jung is an associate at Bird Marella, where he focuses his practice on complex litigation with an emphasis on intellectual property and patent-related disputes.
Before joining Bird Marella, Richard was an associate in Winston & Strawn’s Los Angeles office, where he assisted clients in IP-related matters. He also served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Stephen P. McGlynn of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Illinois.
Richard brings a strong technical background to his legal practice. Before law school, he worked as a technical consultant at Perficient, Inc., supporting a healthcare startup by building user interfaces and database architecture for patient referral workflows.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in computer science from Purdue University. Richard received his J.D. from Washington University School of Law, where he was a Primary Editor of the Washington University Journal of Law & Policy. He received a Scholar in Law Award and an Award for Excellence in Oral Advocacy.
