Emerson Kim has broad experience in both civil and criminal litigation.  He also provides guidance on all aspects of electronic discovery.

For civil matters, Emerson focuses on business litigation, such as commercial fraud, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, and intellectual property disputes.  For each matter, he applies his expertise in electronic discovery by designing defensible and cost-effective strategies tailored for each client and advising on preservation and production obligations.

Additionally, Emerson has experience in criminal matters relating to securities and health care fraud.  He has assisted with conducting internal investigations, responding to federal grand jury subpoenas, and preparing clients to testify at trial.

He previously served as a Judicial Extern for the Honorable S. James Otero of the Central District of California.

  • Prevailed on a motion to dismiss a copyright infringement lawsuit seeking more than $50 million in damages on behalf of Korea’s largest entertainment and media conglomerate.
