Donna Cunningham joined Bird Marella in 2018 and brings extensive experience in the legal and business aspects of the entertainment industry, as well as litigation experience in the areas of entertainment, business torts, employment, and intellectual property.

Ms. Cunningham joined the firm after 25+ years on the business and legal side of the entertainment industry, including global positions as COO of Sony Pictures Television, International Production and EVP, General Counsel of Business and Legal Affairs at Fox Family Worldwide, and General Counsel & Chief Privacy Officer of Radicalmail, among others. Prior to working in house for independent television production companies and global motion picture studios, Cunningham was a litigator practicing in the areas of entertainment, intellectual property, civil rights and general business litigation.   She received favorable outcomes in a variety of litigation matters in state and federal courts in California, including one published California State appellate opinion.

Ms. Cunningham earned her J.D. from Tulane Law School in 1985 and received a B.A. in English Literature at UCLA.
