Bird Marella Names Ariel Neuman as its Newest Principal

Bird Marella is proud to announce the elevation of Ariel Neuman to Principal. Focusing his practice on white collar criminal defense and complex civil litigation, Mr. Neuman joined the firm as Of Counsel in 2014, having previously served as an Assistant United States Attorney in Los Angeles for nearly seven years.

“I am honored to be with a firm so widely regarded for its outstanding trial work,” said Mr. Neuman. “Bird Marella’s accomplishments in white collar criminal defense and government enforcement work are unparalleled, and I am very excited to contribute to the firm’s future success.”

Founding Principal, Terry Bird added, “Ariel is an outstanding attorney who is blessed with an uncommon balance of intellect, common sense, and people skill. He will add to the firm’s long list of first rate trial lawyers.”

Mr. Neuman’s clients since joining Bird Marella include individuals and entities under investigation or indictment for alleged securities fraud, health care fraud, money laundering, tariff violations, and other offenses. He also represents individuals involved in civil cases related to partnership disputes, protection of trade secrets, and enforcement actions brought by the SEC and FTC.

“Ariel was a superstar trial lawyer at the U.S. Attorney’s Office and he has quickly become a superstar at our firm,” stated Bird Marella Principal, Gary Lincenberg. “He fiercely advocates for his clients and always goes the extra step to succeed.”
